Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and results-driven Advertising Sales Representatives to join our team. In this role, you will promote and sell advertising space to local businesses around golf courses. This is an Entry Level position – no prior sales or golf knowledge is required, although familiarity with the game is a plus.
Our family-owned company, based in Portland, Oregon for over 40 years, works with over 5,000 golf courses across the U.S. and Canada creating custom golf products such as benches, tee signs, scorecards, and tournament boards. We sell advertising space on these products to local businesses, helping them reach middle to high income golfers nationwide. You will work from our Portland offices and be part of a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person, Portland, OR 97224
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the benefits of our advertising solutions over the phone.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within assigned territories.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies that resonate with target audiences.
- Manage sales pipelines, track progress, and report on performance metrics regularly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Prospect business owners using internet resources within the assigned territory.
Required Qualifications
- A willingness to learn and a coachable attitude with the ability to take constructive criticism.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving targets and driving growth.
- Comfortable communicating over the phone.
- Basic computer knowledge for typing, emailing, and researching leads online.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in direct sales, retail sales, inside/outside sales roles, hospitality, or a sports background.
- At least 1 year of experience in Sales (Preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in Hospitality (Preferred).
