Position Overview
AtSilicon Systems AI groupwithin Micron, you will improve Micron’s silicon and systems development processes by creating new paradigms in AI for a first of its kind capability demonstration. You will re-imagine our silicon to systems development flow to accelerate the velocity of innovation in Micron’s products. The group is a small team of technologists collaborating cross-functionally with domain experts and data scientists inside and outside of Micron. You will bring new energy and ideas to the aspirational goal of changing the world for the better with Micron’s products and technologies through AI enablement. We are looking for interns with a strong background in key areas of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing. Candidates should possess a solid mathematical foundation, excellent programming skills, and the ability to analyze and develop new AI algorithms. This position offers the freedom and resources to conduct cutting-edge, publishable research while working on real projects with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge AI algorithms to solve real problems in the industry.
- Rapid bring-up and demonstration of new PoCs.
- Collaborate with team members, AI architects, internal product teams, and external researchers.
- Diffuse knowledge within the team by maintaining high quality documentation.
- Publish original research and present it at top-tier conferences and events.
- Develop implementation plans to transfer technology to relevant groups within Micron for broader impact.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of key areas inArtificial Intelligence.
- Excellent programming skills in Python.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A strong publication record in top Machine Learning conferences is a plus.
