Senior Mechanical/HVAC Design Engineer

Position Overview

Our client, a top MEP firm in Buffalo, NY, is looking to add a Senior Mechanical/HVAC Design Engineer to their team. This full-time, direct-hire position can be onsite, hybrid, or remote. Salary based on experience is $90k-$120k.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft HVAC systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Produce construction documents, including plans, details, specifications, and equipment schedules.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and building performance analysis.
• Research codes and standards.
• Select HVAC equipment and design complete HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architectural trades.
• Participate in design discussions and meetings.
• Document and analyze existing building systems.
• Review contractor RFI's, equipment submittals, and conduct on-site construction inspection visits.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant HVAC design experience in commercial, educational, healthcare, housing, and municipal projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; EIT and LEED accreditation are a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
