Position Overview
We are a high-end bakery and coffee spot in University Park, Dallas, known for our in-house kitchen, laminated dough pastries, and award-winning coffee program crafted by a nationally acclaimed Dallas micro-roaster. Our renowned Executive Pastry Chef leads the team, and we pride ourselves on providing beautiful and accessible pastries alongside really good coffee. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit new business through networking, cold-calling, marketing/mailings, and sample drops.
- Drive new relationships with businesses and clients to build an active list of accounts.
- Respond to incoming inquiries via web or phone for all catering orders and events.
- Present products and services to groups of customers and prospects.
- Manage orders from sales to completion, acting as the liaison between clients and the team preparing the order.
- Successfully complete catering orders to ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining bakery margins.
- Evaluate guest feedback and recommend operational changes to enhance satisfaction.
- Solicit and monitor client satisfaction scores in areas such as staff helpfulness, food quality, and overall event success.
- Maintain regular attendance and a flexible schedule to accommodate clients’ needs.
- Analyze market trends, competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and economic factors to competitively sell our offerings.
- Execute exemplary customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty before and during events.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and profit margins.
- Collaborate with the Owner and Executive Team to determine budget, forecast targets, and report performance.
- Bring enthusiasm and a proactive spirit to every task.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of catering industry practices, food and beverage standards, menu development, and pricing.
- Deep understanding of our brand and familiarity with all products offered.
- A flexible schedule to work outside regular hours, including weekends and evenings.
- A personable disposition with a strong ability to drive outside sales and attract a client base.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and sell.
- Proficiency in basic computer functions and POS systems.
- Minimum experience in catering sales (1 year preferred).
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to commute to Dallas, TX 75225.
