Production Operator, 2nd Shift
Job Description
Position Overview
The mission of the Production Associate is to assemble and pack parts per production procedures, test and package finished products per quality system requirements, and document manufacturing processes while meeting goals of quality, cost, and delivery. This position reports to a Production Specialist within the Operations department of a growing Medical Device contract manufacturer focused on capital equipment, drug delivery devices, and disposables. Shift: 2nd Shift (3p-11p, Monday-Friday) with overtime as necessary.
In this role, you will also be expected to become proficient across several assembly and packaging tasks, follow Good Manufacturing Practices, and build productive relationships with team members in Operations, Quality, and Material Handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and pack parts per established production procedures.
- Test finished products and complete required documentation per Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Operate manufacturing machines, automated equipment, hand tools, and custom fixtures.
- Report production data in the ERP system and on work order paperwork.
- Follow KEIND Quality system requirements, inspection processes, and the 5S methodology.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to consistently work on pharmaceutical products while keeping the end patient in mind.
- Skill in reading procedures and interpreting assembly drawings.
- Capability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift as required.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team at all levels of the organization.
- Understanding of business, legal, and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with ISO-13485 and FDA CFR/GMP regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with automated assembly equipment and production documentation.
