Key Responsibilities
- Ensure every guest is greeted and welcomed in a unique and personable way upon arrival.
- Register guests by verifying reservations, personal details, and securing payment information.
- Promote the brand loyalty program and extend recognition and benefits to members.
- Book hotel reservations and anticipate guests’ needs by responding timely, efficiently, and appropriately.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints regarding service and/or accommodations, either independently or by escalating to management.
- Manage daily cash handling including maintaining a house bank, processing deposits, cashing checks, and exchanging currency.
- Process all Gourmet Pantry and retail transactions for guests.
- Issue keys and control access to safety deposit boxes.
- Post miscellaneous charges as requested and manage electronic communications to provide guests with hotel and local attraction information.
- Ensure the front office, lobby, and surrounding areas maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Report any larger housekeeping or maintenance issues to the respective departments immediately.
- Uphold a professional image at all times by following company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of front desk operations, guest services, and hotel procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office products and familiarity with brand-specific operating systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification is required or must be obtained prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience, especially within the brand, is preferred but not required.
