Warehouse Operations Manager

Position Overview

As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations of grocery and perishable warehouses, ensuring that performance goals are met while maintaining high standards of product quality and service reliability. This role involves managing warehouse maintenance, safety protocols, security services, and inventory control, as well as recruiting and training team members to enhance their skills and career advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate performance of all distribution center functions and address performance gaps.
• Assess business conditions and evaluate emerging business needs to improve service and reduce costs.
• Assist with the preparation and evaluation of the annual operating budget for assigned warehouses.
• Prepare, evaluate, and approve capital expenditure proposals for facilities and equipment upgrades.
• Direct the adoption and use of improved processes, new equipment, and facilities to achieve business results.
• Create high customer service expectations among team members and monitor results to ensure performance meets expectations.
• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in retail operations, distribution, transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Associate Degree or higher in General Studies or equivalent education and experience.
• Working knowledge of financial analysis and operational analysis.
• Special skills in managing processes, people management, and dealing with complexity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with capital budgeting processes.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in warehouse environments.
