Job Description

Position Overview

Duquesne Light Company, a leader in providing electric energy in southwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help consolidate its five‐year business plan and annual budgeting process. In this role, you will partner with business unit leaders to prepare operational budgets, perform in‐depth analysis, and support critical financial planning. Location: Hybrid downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly rolling forecast, variance analyses, and budgets for supporting departments.
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations to improve business decision-making.
  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities and help implement effective solutions.
  • Coordinate efforts to gather, analyze, and report benchmarking data with peer utilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updates of the financial planning software.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from senior management and ownership.
  • Collaborate closely with business leadership and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills for budget variance and fluctuation analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with senior management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and a prompt executor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, MBA, PMP) are a plus.
