Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Based on the capacity or modification list provided, create the needed polygon for a small cell cluster, search ring for a macro solution, and review the existing site hardware configuration to determine modifications needed.
- Review designs with system performance and update Atoll with any requested changes.
- Notify the PM of new nodes or changes created in the design.
- Create a Fuze project per site/node with specific information for Verizon Real Estate.
- Review candidates, work directly with Real Estate on prioritizing, and attend implementation meetings prior to site walks.
- Attend site walks for the best candidate and finalize all related details.
- Complete as-needed tasks in Fuze under Candidate Selection, finalize Modification and Carrier Add Designs, and add the final design under RFDS Selection.
- Stay compliant: perform Atoll final updates, 911 submissions, and regulatory submissions; complete outstanding regulatory items and documents; and learn to use RAVE, IXUS or other RF Safety tools. Must understand FCC compliance standards.
- Work on Landlord Letters.
- Assign Cell IDs and PCIs for macro/small cells, enter in Atoll, and create CQ for building the site using internal tools.
- Submit E911 by checking Atoll accuracy and following up on TVW creation and internal CART tool for Phase 2 E911 setup.
- Collaborate with the performance team to understand design restrictions related to loading or rent increases.
- Use Atoll daily to create new builds and modify existing cell sites; update sites with proper translations, power settings, equipment, and activate when the site is live.
- Review 48-hour milestone status when As-Built data differs from design and coordinate with Construction for any major discrepancies.
- Activate in all necessary tools, especially Atoll, and work daily with project management, construction, and real estate to resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive Atoll experience: capable of creating new sites, copying old sites, and adding carriers with an understanding of table differences.
- Proven RF design experience in Macro Mods, initial builds for small cells and macros, and C-Band design experience.
- Strong understanding of FCC compliance standards and adherence to regulatory submission processes.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in RF Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with Verizon tools such as Fuze SPM, Conquest for the RF portion of the CQ, Canvas, and SPM Reporting.
- Familiarity with IXUS RF Safety Software or similar EME reporting tools.
- Experience with MapInfo or ArcGIS mapping tools for presentations.
- Understanding of 5G C-Band spectrum.
