Job Title: Senior Data Analytics Associate - Power BI Business Analyst
Division: Office of Chief Operating Officer
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Location: Hybrid within Greater Houston, TX
Salary Range (Compensation): $79,092 - $93,049
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The role is responsible for using data to design, create, and maintain analyses, reports, and tools in support of business operations. This position performs advanced data analysis using appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making while maintaining the integrity of the enterprise data warehousing system and supporting ongoing development of the College’s data reporting system. The candidate will leverage analytical and technical expertise to interact with functional teams, understand requirements, and deliver intelligent, pragmatic designs. This position may be eligible to work hybrid within the Greater Houston, TX area with occasional onsite as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops dashboards and data visualizations.
- Interprets complex data, applies statistical techniques, and provides ongoing reports in support of strategic goals.
- Develops predictive models and descriptive statistics.
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Provides support in the identification, integration, and preparation of large volumes of data.
- Translates functional business requirements into technical specifications and user-friendly reports/dashboards.
- Prepares high quality documentation following established guidelines.
- Recommends operational improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement).
- Four years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SQL.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field (two years of experience will also be considered).
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA.
- Experience with research administration or financial accounting.
