Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help keep our customers’ vehicles in top condition, providing reliable service that builds trust and satisfaction. Compensation: $23.00 - $34.11 per hour. Job Type: Part-time. Work Location: In person.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, alignments, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
- Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and tire service to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace critical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and auto body components when necessary.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Perform welding and other fabrication tasks when required for auto body or structural repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating documentation for repairs performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service experience.
- Keep up-to-date with automotive repair techniques and industry advancements to continuously enhance your skill set.
Required Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, suspension systems, and brake repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation for accurate troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignment.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools and power tools while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, auto estimating software, wheel alignment equipment, welding techniques, and auto body repair.
