Location: Chicago Office

Salary: $83,000 - $110,000 (typical pay scale; may vary based on education, experience, and internal alignment)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports responses to RFPs, pitch, presentation, and other opportunities by developing written proposal and presentation materials for assigned practice(s) and liaising with client teams and industry groups when relevant.
  • Supports direct marketing and business development programs for assigned practice(s), including planning and executing podcasts, video recordings, seminars, sponsorships, and other events; creates social media campaigns and reports on ROI and engagement.
  • Develops and maintains practice group-specific marketing content such as practice and matter descriptions, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, website/blog content, social media posts, and biographies.
  • Develops and maintains league table/industry survey content for assigned practice(s) and responds to related survey requests or ranking submissions.
  • Engages in research, competitive intelligence gathering, and analysis for strategic planning, competitive positioning, and business development, including identifying speaking opportunities.
  • Collects global matter data for the transactions practice and manages the matter database to ensure firm-wide data quality and availability.
  • Tracks transactions practice pipeline activity in the US.
  • Periodically reviews and consults with lawyers in assigned practice(s) regarding their profiles and practice descriptions to ensure currency.
  • Provides additional ad hoc support for the transactions practice as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet the Firm’s goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Research, Communications or a related field.
  • Qualifications: Minimum of four years of demonstrated success in marketing, research, management, and/or communications within professional services, corporate, trade association, or academic sectors.
  • Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn and utilize firm as well as outside vendor databases. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be a team player capable of working under pressure with shifting priorities, and maintain confidentiality while exercising independent judgment.
