Job Description

Position Overview

Concrete Curb & Paving, established in 1982 and recognized as Denver metro’s top high production civil concrete flatwork company, is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist + Recruiter. Working for a company renowned for its superior culture, quality crew and machinery, you will lead hiring efforts for approximately 15-20 positions per year (both field and office) and enhance the employee experience through effective onboarding, event planning, and administrative support. You will also help build and maintain lasting relationships with candidates, workforce organizations, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies, including grassroots efforts and social media outreach, to attract top talent for both field and office roles.
  • Plan and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring compliance with employment regulations and safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, FMLA, OSHA, etc.), manage employee records, and support safety initiatives.
  • Organize company events, team-building activities, and performance management initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee payroll processing and administer benefits programs, ensuring accurate Compensation and comprehensive enrollment support.
  • Develop, update and communicate HR policies while providing administrative support to project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Proven experience in recruiting, HR, or a related field, preferably within construction or a similar industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
  • Experience with project administration or event planning.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and current labor market trends.
