Position Overview

A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients, providing safe, effective, patient and family-centered care while promoting quality outcomes. At Norton Healthcare, you will help maintain a financially stable unit, supervise staff, and apply the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective patient and family-centered care.
  • Assist in maintaining a financially stable unit.
  • Promote self-development through evidence-based practice and ongoing education.
  • Supervise both licensed and non-licensed staff.
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Enhance patient comfort, provide education, and ensure overall satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • No experience required for full-time or part-time positions. If PRN, must have one year of RN/LPN experience in an inpatient, acute-care setting.
  • Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (KY).
