Position Overview
Respected company in the eLearning industry (Privately Held) is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) or Vice President, Growth Marketing. In this remote role with less than 10% travel, you will drive D2C growth by focusing on top-of-funnel online sales and customer acquisition strategies. You will be responsible for leveraging performance media, paid search, direct response advertising, email marketing, video content, and high ROI sales copy techniques, while leading a small internal marketing and sales team and transforming operations through coaching, training, events, technology, data/analytics, sales, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive D2C growth with a focus on top-of-funnel online sales and customer acquisition strategies.
- Oversee performance media, paid search, direct response advertising, email marketing, video content, and sales copy efforts to ensure high ROI and ROAS.
- Lead and mentor a small internal marketing and sales team.
- Contribute to operational transformation including coaching, training, events, technology, data/analytics, and customer service.
- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies targeting individual entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in senior marketing roles with a track record of exponential and profitable growth.
- Demonstrated experience with digital marketing channels including performance media and direct response advertising.
- Strong understanding of email marketing, video content, and sales copy techniques to achieve high ROI and ROAS.
- Experience in developing brand awareness and directly sourced leads in a compliant and sustainable manner.
