Position Overview

Medical Assistant - NKDHC Las Vegas Central Office. Are you ready to embark on a rewarding healthcare journey? Nevada Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center (NKDHC) is one of the largest nephrology clinics in Nevada, recognized for its expertise in treating Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Acute Renal Failure (ARF), Kidney Transplantation, and maintaining dialysis access. In this role, you will support patient care and assist office personnel, helping to create a collaborative and creative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities, including back-office check-in/check-out, prescription refills, and patient education.
• Measure and record vital signs and patient information in charts.
• Draw blood and prepare patients for procedures.
• Notify the physician of changes in the patient's clinical status and abnormal test results.
• Complete clerical tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and general office support.

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant or a diploma/certificate from an accredited program, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of front and back-office experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Previous experience in Internal Medicine is also a plus.
