Position Overview
Onsite 5 days/week (with 2 floating WFH days/month) — Minneapolis Based. Engagement Type: 1+ Year Contract. U.S. Citizenship required – no subcontracting.
VALERE is seeking a Software Engineer for our client. This role will support multiple Supervision and Regulation cloud migrations, requiring strong Typescript and PostgreSQL skills and the ability to thrive in a secure, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration of applications to AWS Cloud, ensuring security compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Owners, and business partners to deliver solutions.
- Develop and implement new products using Typescript and PostgreSQL aligned with business goals.
- Write and maintain unit tests for both backend and frontend applications.
- Document, analyze, test, and resolve issues with effective solutions.
- Apply Agile software development principles to deliver quality code.
- Provide expert-level analysis on application programming and infrastructure optimization for cloud deployment.
- Research, recommend, and prototype solutions, reusing existing code when possible.
- Manage the implementation of AWS cloud services and integrate them with in-house applications.
Required Qualifications
- Proven technical competency in multiple industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, or platforms.
- Strong backend skills with Typescript, PostgreSQL, and experience writing unit tests.
- Frontend expertise with React and Jest/unit test writing.
- Proficiency with AWS Cloud, AWS Lambda, Terraform, and GitLab Pipelines for CI/CD is a plus.
- Knowledge of information assurance, security management, and identity/access control solutions.
- Experience with Agile software development frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with leadership ability.
