Position Overview

Join our award-winning Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team as an AI Engineering Manager/Solutions Architect at SFL Scientific. In this role, you’ll support the design, development, and deployment of novel AI applications across sectors including healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, consumer, and energy. You will lead client engagements, design scalable architectures, and mentor teams while working cross-functionally to drive transformational change. Recruiting for this role ends on 2/28/2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to design, develop, and deploy new architectures supporting machine learning and automation applications.
  • Leverage advanced expertise in modern data architecture, data science engineering, and management of structured and unstructured data sources using cloud or on-prem technologies.
  • Design and lead development on scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions for both business and AI/GenAI use cases.
  • Support and enhance data pipelines and database schemas (Graph, SQL, NoSQL) for algorithm scalability and deployment based on agile business priorities.
  • Participate in architectural and deployment discussions ensuring solutions are designed for scale, security, and high availability.
  • Adopt best practices in automation, HPC, and AI/GenAI infrastructure and design patterns.
  • Define and lead technology proof of concepts to evaluate new data and cloud technology solutions.
  • Display strong thought leadership in modern data architecture principles and technology modernization.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach junior team members on technical best practices and professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, software engineering, or MLOps with a focus on AI and Machine Learning deployment.
  • 6+ years of experience designing cloud solutions and supporting production projects, with hands-on experience using AWS services (or Azure, GCP equivalents).
  • 6+ years of programming experience with Linux Shell/CLI, Python, SQL, Powershell, etc.
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams in technical delivery of complex, critical projects.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps and leveraging CI/CD services (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Airflow, Terraform, Jenkins).
  • 4+ years of experience with database development and ETL/ELT pipelines (relational, NoSQL, Neo4j).
  • 3+ years of experience with deployment and optimization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, NVIDIA TensorRT/Triton, RAPIDs, Kubeflow, MLflow, Kafka).
  • Reside within commuting distance of one of Deloitte's consulting offices and the ability to travel approximately 10%.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
  • AWS/Azure Certifications (e.g., SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
  • 2+ years of experience with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) and HPC system software stack.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $130,800 to $241,000
  • Incentive: Eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
