QA Test Engineer (Cloud Software)

Job Overview

• Lumafield is looking for a QA Engineer, Cloud Software to help ensure the quality and reliability of Voyager, our cutting-edge cloud SaaS platform.

• While Lumafield builds industrial CT scanners, this role sits entirely on our cloud software team, where you’ll be ensuring the quality of a modern web application used by engineers worldwide.

• This is a critical, hands-on role where you will implement and iterate on the Voyager QA strategy, blending manual exploratory testing with the development of robust automation testing to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience to the users who rely on our platform for complex industrial inspection.

Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our cloud software release testing and validation processes.
• Work closely with software developers to find and address bugs.
• Collaborate with engineers and product leadership in order to understand testing needs and turn ambiguous requirements into actionable test plans.
• Develop automated integration tests against your test plans, utilizing test frameworks such as Playwright to improve consistency and speed of tests.
• Manually run tests where necessary in order to validate new features and understand how better to automate them.
• Coordinate with external QA resources to improve test coverage across the application.
