Position Overview
Symphonic Distribution is a 100% independent music distribution and marketing company headquartered in downtown Tampa, FL with offices in Brooklyn, Nashville, Denver, and Bogota, Colombia. We focus on distributing, promoting, and developing great independent music from artists, record labels, and more. Join our creative, passionate, and forward-thinking team. This full-time Social Media Coordinator role is remote from New York City and offers a strong emphasis on work/life balance.Compensation:$21.35/hr to $26.35/hr(NYC Applicants only).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for our social media channels using best practices to drive performance, conversions, and boosted reach through organic content strategies.
- Manage comments across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube; answer reader questions, protect brand perception through active listening and appropriate escalation, and foster community conversations.
- Foster a vibrant online community by actively engaging with our audience and clients.
- Maintain a unified brand voice across multiple social media platforms.
- Collaborate with other marketers and teams to distribute content that educates and entertains our audience while supporting marketing goals.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
- Run regular social promotions and campaigns, tracking and analyzing their success.
- Explore non-traditional content distribution channels such as Reddit, social media influencers, Facebook and LinkedIn Groups, and emerging mobile platforms.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize content sharing across social channels using platforms like Sprout Social.
- Send the weekly newsletter.
- Report on social media results and insights via monthly analysis to the Marketing Manager and VP of Corporate Marketing.
- Stay on the cutting edge of digital growth strategies, adapting approaches based on each platform’s unique needs.
- Represent Symphonic Distribution at concerts, showcases, presentations, mixers, and other events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- Music industry experience
- 1-3 years of experience with social media marketing or content development
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to pivot quickly and manage multiple projects
- Working knowledge and experience with Mailchimp, Later, Sprout Social, and Google Suite products
Preferred Qualifications
- On-camera skills for creating short-form video content
- Basic design and editing skills with a good eye for design
- Avid music enthusiast
- Familiarity with playlist curation strategies
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish
