Position Overview
Command Investigations, LLC is seeking Surveillance Investigators to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with investigative experience who demonstrate integrity, independence, and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $20-$25 per hour (depending on state). The schedule is flexible and may involve varying hours including weekends, overtime, and holidays. Work hours can start as early as 3:00–4:00 AM, and shifts may range from 8 to 12-16 hours. This position is mobile Location: On the road with potential overnight stays, offering significant Growth Opportunities within a nationally recognized organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance by monitoring, tracking, and recording subjects during daily activities
- Perform both vehicular and on-foot surveillance while maintaining complete cover and discretion
- Develop and execute pre-surveillance planning tailored to each location and case
- Record and document investigative findings through video and detailed written reports
- Capture subjects in various environments such as public spaces, events, and workplaces
- Submit comprehensive reports and video evidence within required timeframes
- Communicate regularly with team leaders regarding positions, observations, and tactical strategy
- Utilize digital surveillance equipment and investigative software effectively
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing Command Investigations
- Uphold safety standards and adhere to all legal and ethical requirements during operations
Required Qualifications
- Required equipment including: reliable vehicle with legal dark tint, smartphone, laptop with Microsoft Word, digital camcorder with date/time stamp and upload capability, covert camera, tripod/monopod, and SD cards (if applicable)
- Highly observant with strong attention to detail and excellent judgment
- Demonstrated integrity, independence, and reliability with a professional demeanor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective time management
- Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; 0-1 years of experience is acceptable
- Able to work independently, provide excellent customer service, and handle multi-tasking in dynamic environments
- Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, overtime, and travel as required, with a willingness to start early as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and endure long periods of sitting, standing, or walking
- Must pass a background check and any subsequent pre-employment requirements
