Job Description
Position Overview
DPR Construction is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Self Perform Work (SPW) division. In this role you will engage with a variety of stakeholders including field supervisors, craft foremen, project managers, and corporate leadership to deliver actionable insights and drive data-driven decision making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in data analytics to solve complex construction management challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SPW business partners and broader teams to align data analytics efforts with business objectives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics roadmap, identifying pain points and driving strategic conversations.
- Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations; perform data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL querying to analyze datasets.
- Troubleshoot data integrity issues and implement sustainable solutions in collaboration with technical analysts.
- Train end-users on report creation and data interpretation to increase overall data literacy across DPR.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management or related field with 3+ years’ experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years’ experience.
- Experience in the construction industry with knowledge of industry trends and self-perform work dynamics.
- Proficiency in data visualization/BI tools such as Power BI, and strong expertise in SQL scripting and data modeling.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate business pain points into actionable data requirements.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with experience building trusted client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or working with self-perform teams and construction project controls (e.g., Earned Value Management, schedule and cost management).
- Background in consuming APIs (REST and GraphQL) and integrating data from multiple sources.
- A strong business acumen with exposure to advanced data visualization and predictive insights projects.
