Charge Registered Nurse

Position Overview

We’re looking for a compassionate, highly skilled, and mission-driven Charge Registered Nurse to join our Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center at Home of the Innocents. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional care to children with complex medical needs while supporting families during challenging times. The Charge Registered Nurse will lead clinical operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure that high-quality care is delivered in a facility offering short-term, long-term, and respite care for medically complex children and young adults. Schedule: Day or Night Shift (Self-Scheduling Available) Full-Time 36 hours/week.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nurses and nursing assistants to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RTs, therapists, physicians, social workers) to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Provide leadership and problem-solving in the absence of administrative staff.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and team training as needed.
• Deliver hands-on nursing care when required to meet resident needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Kentucky RN license
• CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
