Position Overview
Liberal Arts Career Services is seeking an energetic, well‐organized, and passionate Marketing and Social Media Intern to promote the value of a Texas Liberal Arts degree through creative storytelling and multi-channel marketing strategies. This internship, effective Spring 2026 with the potential to extend into future semesters, offers hands‐on experience collaborating with a dedicated marketing team and fellow student interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design creative visuals for social media, print, and digital formats.
- Create promotional and informational video content (e.g., Instagram Reels).
- Collaborate with the team to develop a content plan aligned with event schedules and trends.
- Research trending topics, hashtags, and best practices to boost social media engagement.
- Draft compelling copy for social media channels and outreach initiatives.
- Provide live coverage of events such as career fairs and alumni engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proven experience with social media content creation, either personally or professionally.
- Ability to create high-quality graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Canva.
- Skilled at synthesizing information into effective visuals or graphics.
- Comfortable with filming and/or appearing in video content.
- Strong creative perspective for both visuals and copywriting.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Video editing skills with software such as Edits, Capcut, or Premiere Pro.
- Experience in devising social media strategy and planning.
- Professional copywriting experience.
