Position Overview
Slalom is looking for a thoughtful and experienced Senior Manager of Accounting to lead our technical accounting and internal controls functions. In this dynamic role, you will help shape and modernize accounting processes, solve complex business challenges, and serve as a key advisor to finance and business leaders while ensuring that our practices remain sound, scalable, and aligned with our values.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Accounting:
- Serve as the go-to expert for complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, equity, and acquisitions.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and localized GAAP requirements for international subsidiaries.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and technical documentation reflecting Slalom’s evolving business.
- Partner cross-functionally to assess accounting implications of strategic initiatives and support external audit engagements.
- Internal Controls:
- Lead the development of an internal controls program focused on financial reporting in line with COSO 2013 and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Conduct annual risk assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen control environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in control design, documentation, and testing, and support board/management reporting on controls.
- Manage a small team of internal controls and finance risk professionals while facilitating audit walkthroughs and testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (preferably Big 4) and consulting or advisory roles.
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls development and compliance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide structured guidance in ambiguous situations.
- Self-starter with the agility to transition between big-picture strategy and detailed execution.
- Experience with ERP systems and internal control platforms is a plus.

- Competitive Compensation: Base salary range of $140,000 to $180,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and other factors.
