Role and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Dock Worker plays an essential role in managing the unloading of shipments arriving at the warehouse. You will ensure that products are handled properly, accurately processed, and stored for future use, helping to maintain the smooth flow of operations in the warehouse.

  • Safely unload shipments using manual or mechanical methods to avoid product damage.
  • Inspect incoming products for any damages or discrepancies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Sort and store goods as per company procedures to maintain proper inventory management.
  • Tag and label items to facilitate easy sorting and tracking for future handling.
  • Collaborate with team members to check inventory levels and report any inconsistencies.
  • Keep the unloading area neat and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in other warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading, as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Work closely with the team to meet daily productivity and quality targets.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving roles.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control systems.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology is advantageous.
  • OSHA safety certification or related safety training is a bonus.
