Position Overview

At Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders and a recognized Fortune 500 company, theLoan Officer Associateplays a critical role in supporting Loan Officers while developing the skills needed to eventually transition into a Loan Officer role. You will receive both online and classroom education coupled with hands-on training alongside Loan Officers and Division Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in formal training programs covering various aspects of lending, including loan types, credit assessment, and the loan approval process.
  • Train with managers on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans, and review reports to understand the entire mortgage process from application to closing.
  • Complete testing for mortgage licensing and maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
  • Support loan application processing by updating missing data and maintaining detailed notes within the Loan Origination System.
  • Engage in builder and realtor functions to develop local marketing campaigns and nurture customer relationships, acting as a primary contact between borrowers and Loan Officers.
  • Assist processors and closers in procuring necessary loan documents and collaborate with internal associates via phone, email, or chat with flexibility including weekends and evenings as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in articulating product or service features, benefits, and value
  • A genuine passion for going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree
  • Mortgage or banking experience
