Job Description
Position Overview
The BD & Marketing Assistant plays an important role in supporting the marketing and business development activities at DLA Piper. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Operations team to implement marketing strategies, coordinate events, and maintain the firm’s brand presence across various platforms while supporting diverse administrative and marketing-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support efforts to report on Marketing and Business Development ROI and KPIs, including event engagement and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in planning and executing firm-sponsored webinars, conferences, and event logistics.
- Conduct research using internal and external databases to support business development initiatives.
- Track sponsorship opportunities with bar associations, charitable organizations, and industry partners.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and help maintain business development collateral, including brochures and experience descriptions.
- Manage invoicing, vendor communications, file organization, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Assist with team-wide AI projects to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing projects.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated creativity, collaboration, adaptability, technical savvy, and initiative in previous roles.
- Experience with event coordination, vendor communication, research, and marketing content creation.
