In this role as a Radiologic Technologist - Medical Assistant for CareNow, you will play a key part in delivering high quality, efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform ECGs, and administer injections.
  • Conduct all x-ray and imaging procedures according to providers' orders and update patient paperwork accordingly.
  • Document patient histories in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Apply splints and dressings when necessary.
  • Assist with front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out and chart audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of lab work and other relevant activities.
  • Communicate clinic progress to patients and visitors.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is necessary.
  • Qualifications: A valid General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required for the state of residency.
  • Qualifications: Current BLS Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Must acquire Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience Required: At least 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
