Position Overview

VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCT & BUSINESS UNIT MARKETING – A hybrid position with onsite work three days a week at Jostens’ Corporate Office in Bloomington, MN. As a bold, visionary creative leader, you will shape the future of an iconic brand by overseeing product development strategy from concept to market. You’ll drive cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and operations to deliver innovative products that align with strategic goals and respond to market trends. Working for a company with over 125 years of industry leadership, you will direct consumer-focused marketing growth strategies across scholastic, college, and mascot shop business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute enterprise-wide product strategy, aligning merchandising, development, pricing, and lifecycle planning with market trends and consumer insights.
  • Develop and implement omnichannel, segment-specific marketing plans that drive engagement, ad revenue, and yearbook sales.
  • Oversee go-to-market and product lifecycle planning including SKU rationalization, seasonal strategies, and site merchandising tactics to maximize profit.
  • Leverage insights and white space analysis to identify new product and account growth opportunities using internal data, research, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Creative, and Digital Marketing to build promotional calendars that drive customer acquisition and cross-channel performance.
  • Advance digital transformation efforts by accelerating personalization, cross-channel attribution, and marketing ROI measurement.
  • Own P&L and product contribution margin by managing expenses, forecasting leading indicators, and taking corrective actions to meet business goals.
  • Champion a customer-first culture by embedding digital thinking across the organization and leading transformative initiatives.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team by hiring, mentoring, and leading Directors, Senior Managers, and cross-functional partners aligned to shared KPIs.
  • Travel overnight up to 20% as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in merchandising, retail, wholesale, or omni-channel product roles; fashion or consumer goods experience preferred.
  • Proven product and marketing acumen with a strong track record in building and launching products across multiple channels using customer insights.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership with expertise in managing contribution margin, KPIs, and budget performance at scale.
  • Exceptional strategic vision with the ability to set long-term direction while adapting to real-time market trends and business priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments including Marketing, Creative, Sourcing, Finance, and senior leadership.
  • Strong digital-first mindset with comprehensive knowledge of digital merchandising, site optimization, data attribution, and personalization.
  • Experience leading high-impact teams in paid/earned media, demand generation, and acquisition marketing.
  • Outstanding executive presence with confident communication and decision-making skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, resourcefulness, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
