Job Description
Position Overview
Ferguson – North America’s leading value‐added distributor – is seeking a VMI Specialist/Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will monitor and maintain inventory levels at customer locations, communicate with customers and internal teams, and ensure accurate order processing through tasks such as unpacking orders, checking accuracy, and general housekeeping. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am – 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) for pulling and preparing outbound customer orders.
- Perform driver duties using a Company vehicle for pickups and deliveries.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
- Utilize RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
- Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and actively contribute to facility housekeeping.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to load and unload heavy cargo and read/interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping manifests, and packing lists.
- Pre-employment drug and background screening required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management.
- Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet movers.
Compensation & Incentives
- Pay Range: $17.41 - $26.11
- Note: Estimated ranges are monthly for salaried roles or hourly for all others.
- This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
