Job Description

Position Overview

The People & Culture Recruiter, Campus is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to fill entry-level and intern positions. The role coordinates recruiting activities, develops and maintains relationships with campus placement offices, faculty, and recruiting teams, and serves as the primary point of contact for candidates while representing the firm's brand on college campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit on college campuses to fill entry-level and intern positions, including interviewing candidates.
  • Act as the primary recruiting point of contact for key client groups regarding specific candidates.
  • Serve as the main contact for candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle, providing an inclusive overview of the firm’s culture, services, and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, career office staff, students, and campus recruiting teams.
  • Select and train internal client service volunteers to represent the firm on campus.
  • Implement sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates.
  • Develop and manage a market-based campus recruitment plan in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Campus Recruiting.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of campus recruiting programs and lead necessary changes.
  • Utilize firm-standard tools to capture all recruiting and hiring activity in compliance with BDO’s Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required (a focus in Human Resources is preferred).
  • At least two (2) years of recruiting experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone etiquette.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality results.
  • Ability to travel to various college campuses for recruiting events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College recruiting experience.
  • Experience with middle market or large public accounting firms, or agency experience.
  • Experience as part of a human resources practice.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Experience working within a professional services environment.

  • Compensation: Colorado Range: $75,000 - $90,000; NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75,000 - $90,000; Washington Range: $75,000 - $90,000.
