Position Overview
Clinical Care Delivery at Cardinal Health is dedicated to high quality, patient-centered care encompassing accurate diagnosis, treatment, and efficient management. The Laboratory job family is responsible for services where blood, bodily fluids, or tissue samples are taken for diagnostic testing to determine the appropriate plan of care. The Phlebotomist/Lab Tech plays a critical role by performing patient blood draws, entering test orders on the computer, troubleshooting with physicians and lab personnel, maintaining laboratory efficiency, and managing lab supplies and equipment. Compensation: Anticipated hourly range: $21.00 per hour - $23.43 per hour. Bonus eligible: No. Location: cCARE Fresno, 7130 N. Millbrook Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs patient blood draws and computer entry of test orders
- Works effectively with physicians and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot problems and maintain laboratory efficiency
- Maintains inventory and ordering of lab supplies
- Processes samples after blood draw and assists in equipment maintenance
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience (preferred)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician License or eligibility for Certification (already scheduled to take CPT exam)
- Dependable, patient care focused with strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Willingness to float between local locations (Cal Urology, Clovis and cCARE, Fresno)
