The Reservoir Engineer works on Appalachian assets and is responsible for well performance analysis, reserves evaluation, reporting, budgeting, and production forecasting. This is a full-time salaried position with a work environment spanning both the corporate office and field locations. Candidates must be available for emergency calls and occasional travel.

  • Prepare quarterly SEC reserves evaluations for assigned asset areas and support 3rd party auditors during year-end reviews.
  • Prepare exhibits and provide expert witness testimony at regulatory hearings.
  • Perform essential reservoir engineering evaluations using decline-curve analysis, material balance, volumetric analysis, and pressure/rate-transient analysis.
  • Conduct decline curve analyses to generate short- and long-term production forecasts for reserves, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Work with Drilling, Completions, Geoscience, and Operations teams on lookbacks to analyze well performance and implement improvements.
  • Analyze and optimize well performance considering geological characteristics, completion strategies, and production methodologies.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET–accredited institution.
  • 1–5 years of reservoir engineering experience, with a strong foundation in unconventional shale analysis.
  • Proficiency in decline–curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, reserves evaluation, economic assessments, and production forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities and competence in handling complex datasets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including some overnight stays.
