Our client is looking for an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Kansas City, Missouri, US. This role is critical in optimizing and troubleshooting complex manufacturing processes, focusing on enhancing efficiency, quality, and yield. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in manufacturing principles, statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing techniques, and Six Sigma methodologies. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production lines, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve throughput and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and validating new manufacturing processes
  • Designing experiments (DOE) to optimize process parameters
  • Creating comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Working closely with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes
  • Troubleshooting equipment and process issues
  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Involvement in capital equipment justification and implementation projects

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications: A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) are a plus.
