Job Description

Position Overview

Manpower at the City of Tulsa | Utilities Services Department is hiring a Customer Care Representative for the City of Tulsa Utilities Call Center. This phone‐based role supports residents with water, sewer, trash, and solid waste services inquiries. The position is focused on delivering excellent service, resolving billing inquiries, and assisting customers with managing their accounts. Location: Tulsa, OK. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Compensation: $18.87 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls regarding utility billing, payments, and service requests
  • Provide clear and accurate information about water, sewer, trash, and solid waste services
  • Assist customers with payment arrangements, account updates, and service changes
  • Process service requests and resolve concerns in a timely, professional manner
  • Use multiple systems to manage customer accounts and document all interactions
  • Stay up to date with department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of recent customer service / call center experience
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Accurate data entry and ability to navigate multiple systems/screens
  • Professional phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
