Position Overview

Halekulani celebrates its LEGACY of over 100 years of gracious hospitality, impeccable service, and unparalleled cuisine at Waikiki Beach. The Engineering Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Engineering Department by managing staff schedules, budget oversight, and project coordination. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and supervising the CMMS Coordinator, this role is pivotal for ensuring smooth operations and efficient support for engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly work schedules and coordinate employee scheduling with approval from the Director of Engineering.
  • Oversee processing of requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices to support budget and cost management.
  • Provide administrative support by organizing meetings, maintaining documentation, and coordinating project logistics.
  • Coordinate engineering project schedules, maintain project records, and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Enforce safety protocols and manage staff training and certification compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in office administration or general administrative support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with an ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
