Job Description
Position Overview
The Project Management Specialist III provides management and program analysis services to the FAALC. This role involves planning, scheduling, conducting, and reporting analyses of management, administrative, and logistics programs and procedures to determine resource requirements, workflow processes, and the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of functional operations. Supports: FAA Contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the F&E subject matter expert (SME) for the decommissioning of LIS.
- Communicate with customers internal/external to the FAA.
- Define or recognize the dimensions of the problems involved.
- Collect, record, and analyze data to establish facts.
- Research supply chain computer programs and databases.
- Take or recommend actions based on the application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Identify and resolve problems, providing information and reporting negative trends to management.
- Apply detailed knowledge as a team member of a Logistic Operation Center.
- Conduct analysis to ensure program integration and conformance to FAA Logistic Center Policy, ensuring operations meet goals and/or objectives.
- Work independently to carry out duties and responsibilities.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate with other personnel.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout the FAA Logistic Center to resolve inquiries and track issues from input through resolution.
- Refer difficult problems and work issues to a manager, team lead, program/project manager, or experienced technical specialist when necessary.
- Ensure work is reviewed during assignment and upon completion for timeliness, policy compliance, and project requirements.
- Support activities that may affect the objectives of the organizational unit and the LOB/SO.
- Develop methods, databases, spreadsheets, or dashboards to provide alerts or notifications when critical processes fail.
- Periodically report supply chain vulnerabilities to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience.
- Current drivers’ license, proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S., and ability to obtain security clearance.
- Must possess an excellent understanding of technical issues, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively within a U.S. Government contractual environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Excellent telephone skills and knowledge in troubleshooting using vendors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements.
- Competence in basic mathematical functions required in a business and/or engineering setting.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft development suite, Microsoft Office suite, and Web/Network architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration or an Associate degree in Accounting or Business is highly desired.
