Job Description
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Local Law 11/FISP Engineer in New York City
- Bachelor's degree Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State asset but not required
- Thorough knowledge of NYC Building Code, specifically Local Law 11 and Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) requirements
- Experience with facade inspection, assessment, and repair techniques
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive facade inspections in accordance with Local Law 11/FISP guidelines
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and develop repair recommendations
- Collaborate with building owners, managers, and contractors to implement necessary repairs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant NYC building codes and regulations
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality standards
- Stay updated on changes in local laws and industry best practices
