The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider responsible for assessing and managing a diverse patient population. You will perform complete histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop care plans, prescribe medications, and document care accurately. Additionally, you will provide direct care, counseling, and teaching in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop care plans and follow-up strategies based on clinical findings.
  • Order medications and write prescriptions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely documentation including admission, progress, procedure, operative, and discharge notes.
  • Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies required.
  • Licensure: Valid Physician Assistant [State License] is required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years critical care experience preferred and experience as a licensed Physician Assistant is a plus.
  • Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical conditions and interpret findings.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships with patients and medical staff.
