In the role of Engineering Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the property runs smoothly and safely by handling both routine and urgent maintenance tasks. Duties include responding to guest repair requests, executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and system issues, and maintaining a clean and secure work environment. A strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems, along with excellent communication and customer service skills, is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve guest repair and maintenance concerns in a swift and courteous fashion.
- Utilize clear communication techniques when addressing maintenance issues from guests or team members.
- Execute proactive maintenance assignments on equipment, kitchen tools, and mechanical devices, including cleaning and applying lubricants.
- Perform visual assessments on equipment, tools, and systems to identify potential issues.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and order components when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals and address colleague concerns.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
- Experience in general maintenance, including exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
- Prior work in hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- No supervisory experience necessary.
