General Warehouse AIB Sanitation

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hunger Hero to join our team at Feeding America Riverside in San Bernardino. In this part‐time role as General Warehouse – AIB Sanitation, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe warehouse facility in accordance with American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.85.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure AIB standards are maintained throughout the facility
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Maintain daily documentation from assigned areas for record-keeping
• Perform heavy and specialized cleaning tasks, including facility upkeep and minor building repairs
• Assist team members in other functional areas of the warehouse and/or office
• Communicate ideas and concerns in a timely manner, offering positive suggestions for improvement
• Adhere to all safe work practices while working efficiently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning procedures
• Ability to multi-task and handle responsibilities related to both facilities and AIB standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and a positive, solutions-based attitude
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior food bank or warehouse experience is preferred but not required
• Must be capable of lifting 25 pounds and operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and floor scrubbers
• Valid driver’s license and insurance, with a high school diploma
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
