Lab Technician - Monday -Thursday. 7:00am -5:30pm

Position Overview

We are seeking a Lab Technician in Sparks, MD for a 12 Months contract role (Contract on W2 – US Citizens, GC Holders, or eligible candidates required) with a leading Medical Devices Company in the Healthcare sector. This role involves operating production equipment in a 1st shift environment (Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:30pm) to manufacture, assemble, and test clinical and commercial products.

Note: The work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products while operating production equipment.
• Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials to ensure batches contain the proper ingredients and quantities.
• Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
• Validate processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization.
• Remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids safely.
• Create solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications.
• Provide training support for onboarding and new procedures.
• Support the lead/supervisor and suggest continuous improvement recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) along with all client housekeeping and safety policies.
• Work overtime as required to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical certification and 3 years laboratory experience; OR AS degree in a scientific discipline with 2-3 years laboratory experience; OR BS degree in a scientific discipline with 1-2 years laboratory experience.
• Demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and ability to operate independently.
• Proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze charts, follow diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
