Position Overview
Addison Group, a leader in placing Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Audit professionals, is representing a publicly held company in the Seattle-Bellevue area. Our client is seeking a SEC Reporting Manager to join its corporate finance team. In this role, you will lead the preparation and filing of SEC documents, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations while supporting key financial reporting initiatives with strong technical expertise and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other periodic reports.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing of all required SEC documents.
- Collaborate with external auditors, legal counsel, investor relations, and internal teams to gather and validate financial and non-financial data for public disclosures.
- Monitor changes in SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP to assess their impact on the company’s reporting obligations.
- Drive continuous improvements in the external reporting process, including automation and strengthening internal controls.
- Lead SOX activities by maintaining documentation, testing controls, and providing results with plans for corrective action.
- Assist with stock-based compensation.
- Support quarterly earnings release processes and related materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or public company experience.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience auditing public companies or current SEC experience in a public company.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Workiva, Oracle, or similar ERP/reporting tools is a plus.
- Remote candidates must reside in Washington State due to compliance requirements.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation:$120,000 to $130,000 base salary (dependent on experience) plus an annual bonus target based on company and individual performance.

- Hybrid work schedule with 0 to 2 days in-office per week. Flexibility to work in the office when requested.
