Seeking experienced SPECT CT / CT Medical Imaging Field Service Engineer – looking for someone with SPECT & SPECT/CT, Nuc Med expertise; responsible for installing, servicing diagnostic medical imaging equipment. 5 years experience. Valid US DL; must be authorized to work in US without Visa Sponsorship
Seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer. Field Service Engineers are assigned a territory where they are responsible for maintaining nuclear medicine equipment at customer’s sites. The position requires frequent travel within the territory as well as occasional travel outside the assigned territory. Minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing medical equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, install, maintain and repair nuclear medicine cameras and peripherals in accordance with OEM specification on designated equipment.
- Maintain communication with the Service Manager, Service Coordinator, Parts Department, and Administration directly to ensure prompt resolution and proper follow-up, and customer satisfaction.
- Schedule onsite service and preventive maintenance visits.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and colleagues.
- Complete Field Service Reports, Preventive Maintenance Checklists, and Expense Reports accurately and on time.
- Participates in training sessions, company meetings, and production/refurbishment projects at the company headquarters, as needed
Skills and Attributes:
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently is a requirement
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow up
- Organizational skills are a must
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a medical service field
- Strong computer skills with an understanding of networking and proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Effective Time Utilization
- Starting and ending times of workdays will vary according to scheduling repair needs
- Service travel may include both regional and national travel
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree: in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field
- Specialized Medical Imaging Training: (SPECT, Nuc Med, multi-vendor)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of direct medical device service
- Working knowledge: of radiation safety and safe working practices
- Ability: to effectively use hand tools commonly associated with the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
- Ability: to use test equipment, gauges and meters commonly associated with the service of medical equipment
- Ability: to read, understand and interpret technical documentation including, but not limited to wiring and equipment schematics
- Ability: to mentor/teach other technicians within the department
- Basic computer skills: and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding: of human anatomy and physiology and how medical devices interface with the human body
- Knowledge: of common medical terminology
- Ability: to effectively communicate with physicians, nurses, allied health technicians and department managers both verbally and in writing

- Reasoning Ability: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability: to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
