Job Description

Position Overview

District Medical Group (DMG) is a respected leader in the Phoenix healthcare industry, employing over 650 credentialed providers and more than 350 professional/administrative staff. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, building, testing and implementing of information systems and solutions. You will work closely with end users, peers and vendors to determine requirements, resolve issues, and ensure that applications comply with HIPAA standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general system management and support to users, reporting anomalies and discrepancies to management.
  • Collaborate with executives and project teams to understand requirements, workflows, and business process models.
  • Review, analyze, modify, test, debug and install application systems to support organizational needs.
  • Evaluate application updates and revisions, and participate in testing initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and improve applications and workflow processes throughout the organization.
  • Document processes to optimize application usage.
  • Provide EDI support and evaluate requests for system modifications or enhancements.
  • Stay current with new application functionalities and enhancements.
  • Work independently on multiple tasks, resolving issues with limited supervision.
  • Ensure application compliance with HIPAA standards and contractual obligations.
  • Operate under tight deadlines, including working beyond core hours when necessary for upgrades, go-lives, or short-term projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of healthcare operations, integrated delivery systems, and use of information system applications in a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with application environments including production, test, and interfaces.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to respond promptly and courteously.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare applications preferred.
  • Experience with GE Centricity applications suite preferred.
  • Experience with SQL Database preferred.
