Our Client, maker of the SMARTci System and one of the 5000 fastest-growing companies in the country (per Inc. Magazine), is seeking a full-time Revenue Accountant. This role reports to the Controller but will involve continuous collaboration and be a key partner with the sales team. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and not only identify but solve any problems encountered.

The candidate should have a strong grasp of technology and be comfortable with SAP and Quick Books. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Discretion is critical because this position will be working with sensitive data.

We provide innovative solutions for improved Continuing Insulation (CI) outcomes and have a passion for developing customer advocates, resulting in profitable growth. They specialize in continuous insulation by providing one-of-a-kind Composite Sub-Framing Systems that meet all ASHRAE requirements for commercial building envelopes. SMARTci is a green and thermal product for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Primary owner of the sales quote process
  • Process order confirmations
  • Daily sales invoicing and sales credit processing
  • Daily cash receipts processing and posting
  • Procures freight quotes and identifies variances post-delivery, working with carriers to resolve
  • Collaborative partner with operations and sales teams for on-time customer shipments
  • Primary owner of Accounts Receivable subledger and acts as a stakeholder in the collections process
  • Collaborative partner with the sales team in customer data management to ensure proper sales tax compliance
  • Participates in timely period-end financial close: prepares revenue-related journal entries and observes GAAP in all related areas, including revenue recognition under the supervision of the Controller
  • Champions GAAP along with best financial practices in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Maintains a continuous improvement mindset for all processes and owns documentation for the processes related to this role
  • Ad hoc reporting/other duties as department and business needs change

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred with 3-5 years of job-related experience or an appropriate combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or construction environment; for the right candidate, these skills can be developed.
  • Proficient and willing to expand skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • ERP experience required, SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects
  • A friendly personality with a desire to help our internal and external customers
