Network Security Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Network Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team at Cymertek in San Antonio, TX. The candidate must possess TS/SCI Full Poly Clearance and a strong passion for protecting network infrastructures against emerging threats. You will monitor network traffic, analyze security logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization’s overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic for anomalies
• Investigate and resolve security incidents
• Maintain and update security systems
• Generate and analyze security reports
• Assist in developing incident response plans
• Ensure adherence to security policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (with 4-5 years additional experience considered)
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as IDS/IPS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and security logs
• Knowledge of malware analysis and vulnerability scanning tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced threat detection
• Knowledge of forensics methodologies
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Experience with SOC workflows
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and threat intelligence platforms
