Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer, GTM, to evolve our Salesforce CRM and support our rapidly scaling global business. In this role you will design, implement, and continually enhance both out-of-the-box and custom solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring seamless systems integration via API and IPaaS solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Revenue Excellence, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Analytics, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Location: Oakland, CA, or Denver, CO offices, offering a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration with two days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Define and drive critical projects and technical strategy for Salesforce CRM and related systems, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure solutions that integrate seamlessly with other enterprise systems.
  • Spearhead strategic initiatives including process automation and data integration to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and executives to prioritize projects and provide technical expertise and strategic insights.
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Address high-impact, complex technical challenges to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of Salesforce and its integrations.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards, data privacy regulations, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the broader tech community by sharing best practices, participating in industry events, and publishing insights on Salesforce technology.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, with deep proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Qualifications: Salesforce Developer I & II certifications are required.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, including billing, revenue recognition, and order management, with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Proven experience in establishing strategic technical visions and executing complex Salesforce implementations and integrations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing geographically dispersed teams and promoting best practices in design and development.
  • Expertise in integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and IPaaS solutions.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Salesforce DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to enforce coding standards, quality assurance processes, and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high software quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce System Architect and/or Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification.
  • Additional certifications such as Salesforce Technical Architect or Application Architect.
  • Experience with 2nd Generation Managed Packages and advanced programmatic components, including extending Salesforce Enterprise Territory Management functionality.
  • Familiarity with Copado and modern DevOps tooling.
