Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director, IT to oversee the technology solutions that support our operations and strategy within the CPP IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, project management, a deep understanding of CPP systems, and the ability to lead a team in delivering innovative technology solutions that enhance efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy and Management: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and applications supporting the CPP application; collaborate with management to identify technology needs; integrate new technologies with minimal disruption; and ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, including overseeing 15–20 Software Developers; foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement; and allocate resources to meet project priorities.
  • Project/Work Request Management: Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and integrations; develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders; and monitor progress with corrective actions as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the CPP department and IT teams; partner with business leaders; engage with external vendors; and represent the CPP IT function in leadership meetings.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a leadership role within the insurance industry, with a proven track record in managing complex IT projects.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills; experience in overseeing teams of IT professionals.
  • Proficiency in IT infrastructure, data management, and emerging technologies relevant to policy systems.
